Hmphh went to bed last night and it was coming down to thick and fast was excited to wake up to a white out but all some point it must have turned to rain we have a sprinkling left. South Manchester.

Nothing here in Belfast thank God. I hate it (except of course to look at!) Plenty of fog here though.

Beezknees · 03/12/2023 09:16

Lots in Derbyshire.

TheSandHurtsMyFeelings · 03/12/2023 09:16

Kent coast here, so just rain, rain and more rain. I miss snow.

Onacuctustree · 03/12/2023 09:56

Lots here in Staffordshire.
Driving home after my night shift was a bit hairy on minor roads. The dual carriageway was fine.
The park looked lovely though!

Snow!!!!!

Didn't expect it to be still snow on the groin when I woke this morning but a nice covering East Cheshire

CandidFruit · 03/12/2023 10:23

@cheshirecatssmile “snow on the groin” sounds chilly! 😂
Not even a flake here in Hertfordshire - jealous of all the lovely snow pics.

EasternStandard · 03/12/2023 10:26

Such beautiful pictures 🙏

gingercat02 · 03/12/2023 10:32

Early morning fat fingers and bloody autocorrect

A dusting of snow last night which had all but disappeared this morning. The fields on my way to work in the next county were still pretty white and where I work was white over this morning. According to the weather on my iPhone it was meant to snow all night last night. It most certainly did not!!

East Mids here also Grin DD 15 and I just popped out for a gentle run (she's not done one since before her recent mocks and I've been out of it with a knee injury) and I slipped on a muddy grass verge ironically to avoid an icy looking pavement.

By some Christmas miracle I actually didn't hurt myself even though I landed looking like a Vechna victim. I just probably looked like a proper Twat. She couldn't stop laughing and had to keep stopping after to laugh some more

wineoclock90 · 03/12/2023 10:45

Looks like North East going to get more. The sky is full

wideawakeinthemiddleofthenightagain · 03/12/2023 10:45

Heavy rain here in Bucks.

I'm in Herts too. Disappointed!

Still quite a lot on the ground here in the Midlands. I took DS out to play at the park this morning and we passed two older teens with sledges heading to the 'big hill' who were grinning like Cheshire cats with excitement. It made my morning seeing how excited they were. ☺️

APurpleSquirrel · 03/12/2023 11:44

No snow here in Somerset - hard frost yesterday, but rained overnight & all gone. There was snow in Devon & Cornwall yesterday - some amazing pictures of The Eden Project covered in snow.

WingBingo · 03/12/2023 18:02

Coming down hard again in Leeds.

terraced · 04/12/2023 18:00

@dreamersdown we do lots of Winter tidy ups, hedges, fences and some makeover projects.

terraced · 04/12/2023 18:01

@Autumncomfort there's not much money in it I'm afraid. We do it for our vulnerable and regular customers anyway but lots of people just don't go out when it's really bad up here. We live very rurally.

How does winter work when you’re a gardener?

My cousin is a gardener and factors in that there will be days in the winter when he can't work. He works like a Trojan all summer and tends to go on holiday during the quiet months.

I'm a gardener. We sell plant growing kits at the Christmas markets to help us then just hope the weather isn't too bad. We do tidy ups, maintenance, fences, hedges etc.
