York fire crews called to rescue cat trapped in a car. Cat not bothered | YorkMix

Love this headline. Seems people were concerned about a cat in a car bonnet.

Fire Brigade turned up. Cat didn't seem to want rescuing.

"A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews inspected and found the cat not to be in distress or trapped – and the incident was left with nearby residents.”"

It's a very short article. I wonder where it was exactly in the bonnet.

I am sure the cat just gave them a withering look and carried on with its business.

Because it's warm in there. It's happened a couple of times to my father in law, who drives a Mercedes. He's been driving and heard meowing and when he's opened up the bonnet, a cat has jumped out! I mention the make of car because a mechanic apparently told him there's something cats like about the Mercedes engine. It sounds bonkers but it really happened!
