Penelope Chilvers boots

I've ordered these online and really like them, but.... it was a real struggle to get them on and they feel quite tight around the heel on one side. There is no way I would be sble to wear a sock with them.
I realise that they are quite stiff and will loosen up with wear, but how much easement should I expect? I could exchange them for a larger size, but I don't want them any longer in the foot (I am quite clumsy and tend to trip quite easily).
Any experiences you can share?

I have some Penelope Chilvers ankle boots and they are snug but I wear them with a thin sock. Could you wear a pop sock?

I think the usual tricks would apply, wear them in the house a lot and they should ease up. You could stuff with newspaper, really stuff them tight.

I often wear tight shoes around the house with socks so that although tight, they will start to give.

I bought leather stretcher spray for mine and then wore them round the house for a while.
