Is this for Christmas ?
There have been posts over on the Christmas THreads but I think most people set up a table or sideboard with a festive cloth .

Jars of ; chocolate powder or Hotel Chocolat stylee grated chocolate (which ou can do in a food processor )
Mini marshmallows
Candy canes
Biscuits or tiny gingerbread men
Aerosol whipped cream
Any flavouring syrups

Sprinkles / chocolate curls
Flakes

Cups (glass one look nice ) spoons , napkins

Are you using instand chocolat or a Velvetiser / milk frother ?

Be prepared for How much bloody hot chocolate can you actually DRINK^ ? )

Use a slow cooker. I used hot chocolate, not the instant kind, milk, a tin or 2 of condensed milk I think. If you are certain there are no nut allergies, bung in some Nutella for extra richness. Then have squirty cream and mini marshmallows on the side.
