Frog bikes - worth paying more ?

I've been looking at second hand Frog bikes on eBay for Christmas and there are big differences in the prices. If you've had one do you think it's worth paying more for better condition or better getting a cheaper one and spending a bit to touch up the paint and so forth ?

My kids have never had frog bikes, but we’ve had Isla, Giant and Squish as alternatives. I’ve tended to pay a bit more for used if I can - it usually equates to more recent model, better condition etc. Plus, the newer ones have been easier to sell on when it comes to moving on to the next size.
