Why mumsnet close threads?

having a rather anxious day and vented on 30 days only only to have it taken down randomly with no message from mn or any notification, is this normal? Hardly post on here and if I do it’s under a different user as I obviously nc first and now my head is spinning as to why! And have no clue if I’d usually be alerted or why it’s down and can’t find any way to contact mn to ask

probably a stupid question!

Afaik they would email you with a reason. If you look at your browser history and click on the thread that's now gone, the deletion message might give a clue. Though it's usually something like "taken down while we have a look behind the scenes" then never changes..
