DS 11mo was born with a full head of hair which basically dropped off and finally over the last few months he has quite a head but the patch on his crown has always spiked up like this, I think it’s so cute. But just actually wondered is it due to the hair being so fine? And will start to flatten once it gets thicker? Or will he have a pineapple spike forever 😂

It will likely flatten once his hair grows thicker, it's definitely highlighted now because the hair is fine and sparse.

My son had this, and it didn’t fully disappear until puberty when his hair massively thickened up. I used to spray his hair with water and pop a baseball cap on him every morning before school to flatten it. We also found a good barber who knew how to cut it to minimise the sticking up!

Thank you for the replies, it is very thin compared to the rest of his hair. To be fair he was at soft play yesterday and all his hair was stood up 😂
