Voice controlled alarm clock

Need recommendations for an alarm clock that you can tell to snooze!

DS insists on being woken up half an hour earlier than he plans to get up. His rationale is that me calling him every 5 - 10 minutes helps him wake up slowly so he is ready to get up. This means that some days I have to get up earlier than I want to just to nag him (& then get stroppy teenage responses).

We tried an alarm clock with a snooze button but DS won't use it as he can't easily find the snooze button in the dark! Is there an alarm clock that he can just tell to snooze so he hasn't actually got to get out of bed but can wake gently like the precious soul he is...

Does he have an Alexa or similar? She shuts up or snoozes by voice command

It sounds like a sunrise one would actually do the job better that what you're asking for. He'd gradually wake up with the light and bythe time the alarm goes off there would be enough light to see the button.

Maybe see if there is a phone app that will accept voice commands to try out the concept of voice activated snooze, before investing. My teen turns hers off completely on autopilot, it would never get through to he conscious brain if it were even easier to turn off.

I'll have a look at the Alexa - good call. Just need to check that the alarm won't go off on the other Alexa's (I have one on my bedroom!).

I suggested a sunrise one (I have one and I swear by it) but he has refused and said that he prefers the room in darkness.

My Google pixel phone reacts to my voice for the alarm, I can either say stop or snooze.

I've got a Lenovo smart clock that has Google assistant in it and it does that. Its so much easier to just be able to say 'hey Google - snooze!' then to try and scrabble around for a snooze button in the dark.

I'm the same as your DP to be fair, I set the alarm for 7 but snooze it 3 times and finally get up at 7:30.

Will look into the Lenovo

I hate to ask but how old is he? Because there's pampering and there's making a rod for your own back. If he's 6ys then it's understandable you jumping through hoops but a 15yr old who might be starting college in a year not so much. I know it's not what you asked but your question isn't really that normal...
