Sad that Shane MacGowan has died

I love Fairytale of New York and so I feel a little sad that the two people who sang it are no longer with us.

He really didn’t look well at all in the photos that were posted of him in hospital so it isn’t at all surprising, but it’s very sad.

May he and Kirsty rest in peace and I hope Fairytale of New York remains popular for very many more years to come.

He'll be missed.
Just came across a post on X that showed The Pogues response to a Lawrence Fox post. Made me chuckle.

It is sad. I kinda found him attractive with his punk values and humour. A life well lived I would say. There is a photo in the guardian of him at 19 with his fanzine which is great.

I hoped he'd live till Christmas and have seen a campaign to get it to number one
