Vegan Food Cupboard Suggestions

I'm hosting a couple as a favour to my sibling in December. The couple are vegan and I want to make sure I have plenty of snacks and breakfast items in for them. I've googled, but the amount of brands are overwhelming and I know not all vegan alternatives are created equal.

So far I have fruits, granolas, alpro, potato scones, rolls, butter substitute, mushrooms and tomatoes for frying on my breakfast list, and popcorn, yoghurt alternatives, vegan sweets from m&s on my cupboard list.

To supplement my plans, I'd love to hear what a dream breakfast or snack cupboard looks like for any vegans on mumsnet and what brands are great or to avoid.

A savoury version is marmite and vegan cheese.

Look at fit green mind on insta. She has lovely simple foods that non vegans will like too. She did a breakfast pancake thing the other day made from aqua fava (liquid from tinned chickpeas) , sugar, cinnamon and fried in vegan butter. It looked delish.

Has vegan cheese improved? It used to have a terrible rep.

Improved, yes. But it's still definitely not cheese.

Thanks. Will continue to avoid it, then.

Philadelphia cheese does a lovely plant-based spread and Catherdral City does a plant-based cheese which is good on pizza, in cauliflower cheese etc. And for making a cheese or bread sauce, Alpro Mylk (semi-skinned in best imo) does a decent job when used with cornflower.
