Britney Spears... What to make of it

I've watched some of the videos she's posted over the past months-year.

Just watched one from 3 hours ago.

I still don't know what to think.

I don't know if she's repeatedly dancing like this because she was denied freedom for so long, or is she suffering from some mental health issues, does she just want to do it?

I feel sorry for her but I just don't know what to make of it.

I don't understand why there's no one around her, husband etc helping her? Or does she not need to be helped

I’ve just finished reading her book actually.

she did say at one point that being told what to do for so long and being so infantilised led to her not even knowing how to behave like an adult. and how could you? When everything you’ve been responsible for is taken away and you don’t get to make any decisions anymore. She sounds so hurt throughout the whole book.

Anyway. More related to your post, she also said she knows people thinks she’s weird for dressing up and dancing in her Instagram videos but that she doesn’t care and thinks it’s fun.

I was just coming to say the exact same thing.

Having listened to her book on Audible, she said that she likes to dance and post her videos on Instagram because she wasn't allowed to do anything for so long.

What happened to her was awful. Her family are awful people for doing what they did to her.

Leave her post her videos on Instagram.

What part of this woman is mentally ill so leave her alone do people not get?

She doesn’t owe us pretty, she doesn’t owe us normal. Its her life.
People hate seeing mental illness in public. They would prefer her drugged up and out of sight. Let her do what she wants ffs. She doesn’t care what you think about it.

She isn't with her husband anymore. I don't what to make of her either.. perhaps now she was forced to take medication for years and now she doesn't have anyone controlling her she's chosen not to take them and that's why she's struggling mentally, she doesn't look happy and it's sad that her children don't speak to her.

but britney is under a full medical care management program. She just has freedom now, to do as she pleases financially and socially. And more input into her care.

i don’t really know much about the medical conservatoirship, but I assume if they felt she was in danger they can force what is required, which Britney has effectively allowed to remain in place, but it appears smooth at the moment and in reality is there really much harm in her insta stuff, if it makes her happy.

She doesn't even know of my existence or this post. I don't néed to "leave her alone", I've never spoken to her. There are people wh don't like the media attention though so would do things like not posting publicly on social media or releasing books about their lives.

I think she's just having fun and not much different than others who do the same. No one has to look if they don't like it. It's so misogynistic to call a woman crazy from speculation, it's literally how her family kept her in a really fucked up conservatorship for so long. Yet the diatribe continues...

Which is just unrequired, shes under full care. A lot of what Britney is going through is down to obsessed fans to be honest.

Yeah I totally agree. It's not even that they're reporting the comments to MN but they're stopping freedom of speech because I spoke about a celebrity, I wonder if they've ever seen the magazine shelf in a newsagents.
