Good.

NigelHarmansNewWife · 30/11/2023 04:09

Wow. @CharlotteRumpling why do you say that?

CharlotteRumpling · 30/11/2023 04:13

There's not really enough room here to explain his war crimes against people of colour or his callousness when devising US foreign policy, but they are well documented and can be easily found.

araiwa · 30/11/2023 05:11

Good

I hope he suffered the utter cunt

SerenityNowInsanityLater · 30/11/2023 05:28

I had no idea he was even still alive.

JingsMahBucket · 30/11/2023 05:32

Read about Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia.
They say the good die young. There's a lot of truth in that saying.
He is a war criminal.

Once you’ve been to Cambodia, you’ll never stop wanting to beat Henry Kissinger to death with your bare hands. You will never again be able to open a newspaper and read about that treacherous, prevaricating, murderous scumbag sitting down for a nice chat with Charlie Rose or attending some black-tie affair for a new glossy magazine without choking. Witness what Henry did in Cambodia – the fruits of his genius for statesmanship – and you will never understand why he’s not sitting in the dock at The Hague next to Milošević.

Read about Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia.

Quite. American interventionism, and the proxy wars it fought all over have left scars on the world that people are still not healed from today.

Kissinger helped to prolong the Vietnam War and expand that conflict into neutral Cambodia; facilitated genocides in Cambodia, East Timor, and Bangladesh; accelerated civil wars in southern Africa; and supported coups and death squads throughout Latin America. He had the blood of at least 3 million people on his hands, according to his biographer Greg Grandin.

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 30/11/2023 08:02

As Tom Lehrer said, political satire became obsolete when Kissinger won the Nobel Peace Prize.

tobee · 30/11/2023 12:55

Yeah I told my husband and he said "thank god for that!"

Reminds me of when George Bush Senior died on a smaller scale. Blood on his hands too.

One of my best friends is Latina and the legacy in her country is still raw and terrible.
