Chest pain on the right side?

So yesterday afternoon I noticed a slight twinge when I moved a certain way. It doesn’t hurt when I breathe in or anything, just when I move my arm or neck a certain way. I’m 30F and the pain is in my upper right chest only. It got pretty bad today. I called a telehealth service and they didn’t send me to the ER but I did some googling and I’m worried it’s a pulmonary embolism (I know I know, I shouldn’t have googled). The telehealth doc said it sounded like costochondritis but I have no idea what would’ve caused that. I haven’t been sick or done any exercise really lol I work from home and have been chilling the last few weeks. Like I said it only hurts when moving a certain way like bringing my right arm inwards or moving my neck a certain way. Should I be concerned?

If you have pain in your chest you need to see a doctor and get it checked out. No one here can help you without examining you. Which we can't. Good luck

I've had costochondritis and the pain is terrible. Generally if you press on that area it will hurt aswell. Mine came on put of the blue, in my ribs, bit it can affect my whole chest area including the breast, lower neck etc.

But yes, get yourself checked out.

I’m no expert but Dd has had PEs and in my experience the chest pain isn’t dependent on only moving in a certain way. It may come and go with stabbing type pains but will happen when still regarding of position. Moving arms, etc didn’t bring the pain on at all.

Like previous poster, pain being on one side and linked to movement suggests muscular pain to me

Thanks! Getting to an ER is a bit difficult right now and I already consulted a doctor who didn’t seem to think it warranted an ER visit (no shortness of breath, sweating, palpitations etc) but just needed some reassurance or hear other experiences of this.

Could you have trapped a nerve somewhere as that's what it sounds like with the fact it hurts when moving in a certain way

It definitely feels muscular or like a pinched nerve, I do tend to sleep strangely at times and I don’t always have the greatest posture. Also an extremely anxious person by nature
