Can I add a can of coconut milk to a jar of curry sauce?

I've made a mess of my curry by adding extra power to a jar of curry sauce and now I've made it too strong. If I add a can of coconut milk would that help? Or is that weird? I'm crap in the kitchen ( if you can't tell)

That should be fine. Add half a tin just to check and stir it over a low heat. Next time, just use tinned tomatoes 🤣

What kind of curry? that would probably work, or a tin of tomatoes

smilesup · 29/11/2023 17:16

I would do half a tin of coconut and half of tomatoes

ah Chinese curry is v different to Indian curry so I would use a small amount of coconut milk and a squeeze of lime

YireosDodeAver · 29/11/2023 18:04

If there's too much spice you need to add more fat. Coconut milk is good. Yohgurt also. Or just a good slug of oil/dollop of butter. A tim of tomatoes won't help much.

I wouldn't add tomatoes to Chinese curry sauce. Try some coconut milk and hopefully that is okay. Full fat, if it's low fat it will curdle in the sauce
