Would you expect the piano to come with its stand and other accessories?

Hi!

A digital piano was originally sold for 350 pounds, but one of the pianos was discounted to 175 because the back of the back unit has got a crack/dent on it.

The 350 pound piano normally comes with a detachable base stand, a pedal, and cables. Given the description below, would you expect it to still come with the base stand, etc.. or would you just expect the main unit?
Thank you

pictures include:
1 stock picture of the original piano with the stand and pedal
2 pictures of the actual main unit only, one of them showing the scratch.
"Crack in rear panel of main unit. Otherwise all parts present and in excellent condition. Please note a stock image has been used for display purposes only and will not represent the true condition of this product. Please see other photographs for visible damage."

I would expect the stand if that’s what it originally came with, unless it said reduced ‘due to crack and no stand’.

SirChenjins · 29/11/2023 12:27

Yes, if that's what it normally comes with. The crack shouldn't affect the rest of the package.

Thank you! xx

I take it you're missing a stand, pedals and cables?! Where do they think they explicitly said you wouldn't get those if you purchased the piano with the crack?

Comefromaway · 29/11/2023 12:35

I wouldn't expect any digital piano to come with a stand unless it is specifically sold as being part of a bundle.

What did the description say was included?

Comefromaway · 29/11/2023 12:36

Is this Gear4Music?

Haven't got it yet. They messaged me saying they couldn't guarantee which accessories would come with it because the items are stored in an off-sire location and therefore they are unable to check so I was unsure.

the non-discounted one is normally sold as a bundle that's why I wasn't sure

The description only said that.
It also included a description of the original product but it said that it was just for reference

They said all parts present so yes, I'd expect all the parts that would normally be included to be present.

If you're not getting the entire package then how much are you actually saving?

I have used them a lot for various things but you do have to read the description carefully.

The stand I can sort of understand but not the cables.

Is it a digital upright or a stage piano?

Comefromaway · 29/11/2023 12:47

I'm afraid I don't rate their own brand pianos though. I've only ever bought branded things from them.

Ah that's a bummer!
I wanted to buy it for myself, my husband and son who are all extreme beginners and we are on a tight budget so I thought it would be a good deal

You could pick up a Yamaha one secondhand but as new for a couple of hundred pounds (we did). Loads of people buy them with aspirations, then never use them.

Thank you!! I'll look into that

I'm pretty certain it will come with the stand and the basic expression pedal (they do break easily so might be worth upgrading to a proper one. Plus the power adaptor.

What it probably won't come with is the accessory pack of stool and headphones).

Comefromaway · 29/11/2023 13:25

Yamaha have also just changed their spec. The P45 has now become the P145 so there may be good deals on the old model.

Thingamebobwotsit · 29/11/2023 13:27

Cancel the order and go secondhand through FB Marketplace or through your piano teacher. You will get a much better deal that way and get to try before you buy.
