Ideas for ‘naice’ gift for prospective in-laws

DD is seeing someone. We’ve met him and his parents who are lovely.

They have recently moved in together and all is going well. We can see this lasting and are very happy about it.

We’ve been invited for Christmas Lunch and his parents are coming too.

I want to buy them a present but unsure what to go for. They are extremely well off and both retired on good pensions. They have a lovely home.

Please send ideas of what to buy them as a joint gift. No alcohol and no more than £40.

Thank you! X

Someone recommended Cartwright & Butler hampers on another thread. They have some really lovely options, including boxes of assorted goodies for under £40.

I would go for quality over quantity (luxurious and small)

Non-alocholic things I've given before that go down well - really depends on their 'vibe':

  • Alessi Mokapot with local ground coffee beans
  • Local olive oil with a beautiful ceramic olive oil pourer
  • Personalised embroidered napkins from notanotherbill
  • Handmade toiletry bags with a few minis inside
  • A 'cosy' beautiful throw for a sofa or bed, cashmere socks and a candle
