Can anyone identify this dashboard light ?

It's a SEAT Ateca 2021 SE Technology model. The dealer hadn't a clue ("Oh, that's interesting" they said).

It appears where the outside temperate shows (which is how I noticed it) for a few minutes.

Have asked everyone in my department at work and drawn a blank - even using Google Lens.

Can anyone identify this dashboard light ?

Don’t you have a better picture, that’s shocking.

jingleandslay · 29/11/2023 11:27

Is it an ice warning light

Karwomannghia · 29/11/2023 11:28

Yep linked to cold temps I think that’s your car in traffic with a timer saying allow extra stopping time?

Or it might mean your car may turn into a transformer in a minute? 🤣

MrTiddlesTheCat · 29/11/2023 11:29

My car shows that the temperature was recently below 0 when showing the current temp. Could it be that?

Is it an ice warning light

Doubt it, as it' always comes on - even in summer.

It is a very good example of how phones are second best at everything !

You're about to hit a rather nice le creuset casserole dish.

AgnesX · 29/11/2023 11:34

No idea.....I now have Meatloaf as an earworm from the title 🥴

VeloHostage · 29/11/2023 11:35

I should have said at the start that it always shows irrespective of outside temps. In that way it seems more related to the engine temperature.

Like I said, the dealer had no idea, and it wasn't in their 200+ list of dashboard lights in the handbook.

Boring, but possibly correct answer, found by looking in the manual online

ATECA1120_EN.pdf (seat.co.uk)

Fig 178 on page 245.

Your front assist is self calibrating.

Can we have a less-zoomed-in photo?

Google "front assist", looks like that

spikelou · 29/11/2023 11:40

Front collision warning light - white so maybe needs resetting? Red would need evasive action!

BaronessBomburst · 29/11/2023 11:42

Google Lens came up with a Pokémon, so I reckon your car is a Transformer in disguise. The manual entry is just to throw people of the scent.

@BarbaraofSeville has got it

That could be it. How on earth I (and the dealer) missed it is beyond me.

I guess you just get fatigued - page after page.

Many thanks all - merry Xmas.

Yes - front assist systems are recalibrating.

Should go off in less than a minute after starting the car.
