How do I NC, can I do it on the website on my phone? Or do I need a laptop or the app or MN Premium?

Naturally, someone will wonder why I need a NC but I've something rather personal about which I need to think aloud and get disinterested perspectives. And if any sex in the hedge or penis beaker threads turn up tonight, it isn't me! I'm not daft enough to NC a mere 20 minutes later.

I don't use the app, so can't advise on that, but I don't have premium and can confirm that you can change your user name without having to have premium, but I always use my laptop.

On my laptop, I would click on the person icon on the top right corner, then settings.

Click on the person icon at the top and then click on settings. Names can be changed as many times as you like.

Then click username

Honestly, there are so many people posting no one would know who you were. I name change all the time and now that a thread retains the name change there is no faffing around remembering to change it back.

So name change as often as you like.
