Child suddenly developed sensory issues

To keep it short - my 9 year old was found to have very low iron in the summer. It was impact her physical health in terms of aversion to lots of foods, hair loss and breathlessness.
She's been on iron therapy for 4 months and it's come up a bit but she remains underweight and is having ongoing investigations for an underlying cause (I suspect something autoimmune).

However, since last summer she's developed severe sensory issues around clothes. Only like one pair of pants and a couple of socks. One kind of shorts etc. has anyone experienced anything similar? I don't know if it's a control thing or a cognitive impact of her iron being so low. As the weather gets colder it's worrying me more 😞

My first thought would be ASD. Girls are very good at masking, until they can’t mask any more.

Yeah, I'm not discounting it but she's neurotypical in every other way. This time last year she was wearing loads of different clothes. I feel for her so much.
