We have a range cooker with two electric ovens, an electric grill and a gas hob. A few days ago DH was using the grill. When he turned it off there was a loud "pop" and the fuse was tripped. We turned the fuse back on and tested the ovens and grill. They seemed to work ok. However when DH grilled some fish fingers today he said they seemed to cook too quickly, as if the thermostat wasn't working. Is it possible for the thermostat to have broken, but the grill to still work? If so, I suppose it may overheat and be dangerous.
It's under guarantee so I can get it seen to, but I just wanted to sanity check the symptoms here first, in case DH imagined it.
