Will my tumble drier be ok

I washed my weighted blanket, it sounds like it’s full of beads or stones I’m not sure. it was soaked through and steaming from the heat and then I put it in the tumble drier. after a few minutes it clicked that it might cause a fire so I took it out and layed it open on the floor. The tumble drier smelt of burning so I turned it off at the switch. Is there a chance I have I ruined it?

So you boil washed a heavy blanket then tried to tumble dry it whilst it was still soaking wet?

Yes, there's a chance you've burned out the motor or other components on your dryer.

And probably ruined the blanket too. Doesn't it have a washing label?
