Just watched The Holiday on tv. Love a bit of a cheesy romcom but why oh why did they cast Jack Black?! No chemistry with Kate winslet. There's something about him that just gives me the ick. I can't put my finger on it. I think he tries to hard to be cute. But he's not cute.

Totally agree with Robert Pattison, especially as Edward Cullen. I never understood the hype over him when Twilight came out, all ghostly pale with massive square eyebrows and a square face.

There are quite a few of those mentioned that put me off too. I am not sure where the line is between that and "ick" but I do feel there is one.

Gerard Butler does give me the ick, he just seems to be in love with himself. In kind of a weird creepy way.

Brad Pitt, on the other hand, I don't find attractive at all, even though a lot of people do, but I'd not say he gives me the ick.

Owen Wilson, there is something wrong with his mouth and it creeps me out a lot.

DiCaprio, I don't get the ick, but I keep thinking how can anyone have a head so much like a pumpkin, so it's a distraction to watch him in anything.

One thing that strikes me, there are some mentioned that I find inexplicably compelling and attractive. Brian Cox, even as a young teenager watching Sharpe, and Hoffman. I wonder if there is a fine line between what makes someone not conventionally beautiful seem so compelling to some, and icky to others?

I disliked Dawson and assumed I disliked the actor but James Van Der Beek does a very funny send up of himself in Don't Tell the Bitch in Apartment 23 which redeemed him in my eyes.

I was just going to ask if no one else gets serious ick from Eddie Redmayne! At first I thought it was just the first role I saw him play. But no, it's him in everything.

He may be a lovely chap but, on screen, he comes across as so soft and delicate.

I cannot stand the guy. He looks like a grizzled potato, is a shite actor and you can just tell he’s a horrible person.

More TV than film but John Barrowman. Saw him in a panto a few years ago and it was genuinely one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever witnessed. Ghastly in every way.

Also can't believe someone mentioned Brian Cox.. he is a phenomenal actor (Brian Cox the astronomer, however 🤮)
Leonardo DiCaprio is fantastic too, although people don't like him because of his preference for younger women.

My icks are Nicholas Cage, Jim Broadbent, Keira Knightly and Owen Wilson. Used to be icked by Matthew McConaughey, but then saw him being brilliant in something.
