IPL facial hair removal for freckly skin

Hi all. New to this and looking for skme personal reviews. I am sprouting a beard faster than i can remove it. Thinking of giving IPL laser hair removal a go. Philips lumea (expensive but lots of decent reviews) says should not be used on freckly skin (which I have).
