Opticians gift vouchers (Boots? Specsavers?)

I keep getting asked what I'd like for Christmas from family and in-laws, the only thing I'd really like are some new glasses. Because I have varifocals it's expensive to have new glasses as the lenses are expensive. So I thought about asking for gift vouchers.

I've looked on specsavers website and they don't appear to do gift vouchers.

I know boots do gift vouchers but does anyone know if they can be used at boots opticians to buy glasses? I can't find the answer on their website.

Does anyone know the answer please!

I’m an optician at Boots and yes last I checked it is possible to use gift vouchers (Boots ones, but not No 7)

Personally, I would do any glasses ordering via cash or card. If for any reason you need to be refunded it goes back via the same method of payment. Or if you didn’t find a frame you liked you’d be stuck with x amount of gift vouchers.

Specsavers definitely do gift vouchers, I think they're purchased in a branch but can be used at any branch. Not 100% on that bit though.

Failing that, love2shop vouchers can be used in Boots and Optical Express, which would give you options!

where do you normally go?
I’d just ask the place you usually go to make up a voucher. If you ask nicely they’ll add a bit extra too.
