Has your child lost this little soft toy spotty dog?

I found this little soft toy in the middle of a busy road at going home time today (Sat25th) in a west Yorkshire town. I picked it up and stood around with it to see if anyone came back for it, but no luck. I'm guessing it's been dropped by a toddler when crossing the road either in a buggy or walking, and may be being missed by that child.

If it belongs to your little one, just let me know what west Yorkshire town you were in today around 4pm, and I'll post it out to you.

Thank you both! He sat on my knee during the journey home, and is now on my desk eyeing up the chocolate!

Bumping. How kind of you OP Smile

When DD was 7 we went to the US on hols and stayed at an airport hotel the night before. She had her favourite soft toy (a Steiff one, lovely he was) with her until we realised when checking in at the airport that she'd dropped him! I called the hotel, cab firm, even tried airport lost property but never found him. We were gutted and the first thing we did on our trip of a lifetime holiday on arrival was go to the first Goodwill shop we passed to get her a teddy to cuddle which randomly we still haveGrin

Unlike you OP I'm convinced some total shit found it and kept it.

I once saw a child dropping a toy crossing a road, I had to change lanes to follow the family down a road, got stuck at lights and saw cars drive over it. They were a bit away due to the delay when I pulled up beside them and jumped out of the car shouting, potentially making an utter fool of myself. But oh the little boys face when he noticed his toy was gone. The mum and boy raced back and retrieved it. She was so so grateful and the whole incident made me feel really good about myself. Good for you OP!! To this day I don't know where our mousey disappeared in 2018, it's very sad when a child loses its comfort item.

It's a long shot I know but bumping this for the morning! If anyone else can bump it too that's great as the more people see it the better. It may not be your childs, but you may have a friend or heard of someones child who has lost this.

@tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz - I'm sad to read your story, and can't believe anyone would take a childs toy! So glad you managed to get a replacement , as children need these comforts.

@Alalalalalongalalalalalonglonglilong Well done you , I'm so glad you reunited them!. I had to dodge the traffic too but I didn't want spotty dog to be run over.

I was going to say this. I think too much of a long shot on here, though fingers crossed.

I would have popped him on a wall. They may go back and look for him or walk that route regularly.

There is a website - something like 'Toys Reunited' for posting lost and found toys in the UK. Someone on here might know of it . . .
