Red wine.

It smells like vinegar. Does it taste like vinegar?
I like white zinfandel, white pinot grigio, yellow tail jammy white or rose wine.
Would I like the red version of yellow tail jammy?
Should it be room temperature. What's the best meal to have red with ?

If you like yellow tail, try the jammy red roo, it’s quite berry like. Not like vinegar, although some reds are. I personally don’t like any Merlot’s, but it’s personal choice. My favourite it chateau neuf de pape, but at £20 a bottle I don’t drink it all the time!

Bad wine smells like vinegar! After years in the industry I've become ultra fussy about the wine I drink and how much i spend on a bottle.

Chateauneuf Du Pape would not be a good place for you to start @Merryshitmass . Try a fruity Malbec from Argentina (the French ones will be too acidic for your taste). Merlot is a very soft wine, many people start with it but once their taste develops tend to find it boring. But there is no reason why you should like red wine at all, some people don't.

Traditionally red is served with red meats, beef or lamb but it depends on the wine - some are gentle enough to have with poultry whilst others need a full on roast beef....

The main rule with wine is - drink what you enjoy and buy the best you can afford.

I love to sip a red wine, one glass could last me two hours, which is a good thing because i can’t really tolerate 2 glasses these days.

Gary Barlow’s red is lovely, as is barefoot merlot. It’s very personal though, I know some people can’t stand either of those.

And yes it should be room temperature.
