What coat an I looking for?

Mumsnet hivemind I need your help! DS12 (autistic) is refusing to wear his coat. It is a ski -jacket style coat, so waterproof outer with polyester type material lined sleeves. He can't cope with the sensation of the inside of the sleeves and the whistling noise the outside fabric makes when you run your hand across it.

I am unwell and can't go into town to have a good feel of all the coats so I need to order online. He's very slim, so definitely needs something warm (and ideally long enough to cover his bum). Could go for with water resistant if full waterproof is not possible with these limitations. What coat do I need to buy him?

Anyone?

Some sort of wool coat? Like a duffel coat?

Has he had coats in the past he liked/found acceptable? Size up one of those? (Or take a photo of an old coat and we at least know what we are looking for)

Waxed jacket?

My son can’t cope with anything that rustles. It’s not ideal but he wears a Sherpa hoodie most of the time.

Puffa jacket? They’re very soft and comfy but not waterproof and tend to be quite short.
