Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just about to drink my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. No-one else is up yet so it's lovely and quiet 😊 Unusually, I haven't seen any birds flitting about from the trees at the bottom of the garden yet!

Today is pre-Christmas BIG CLEAN day here. I'll get the washer going in a mo, so that it's then free to wash sofa and chair cushions, and living room curtains later on.

Dd1's volunteered to help in the kitchen avoiding her bedroom, dd2 has requested to do her room next weekend instead so she'll be chipping in down here too!

Both girls have homework to be done so we'll make sure that there's time for that as well.

I haven't thought as far as tea yet, possibly takeaway pizza & chips. Whatever it is, will be accompanied by a glass of wine for me.

Later on, I want to get on with a cross-stitch Christmas card for my dad, and have a couple of things on the go for work that need another coat of paint - they'll have to wait for the kitchen to be done though!

Morning OP. Very jealous of your peaceful morning brew. You an early bird or do kids sleep in?

DDs have created a slide with my gym mat for their toys and are watching Camp Cretaceous in the background. Dog currently sleeping on me on sofa.

I am doing an Xmas play room clear out later ready for the influx of new toys. Gonna do FB marketplace for some bits too.

Xmas lights switch on in our local town tonight which we will go to. Then takeaway night with a Haunting in Venice for me and DH.

Arrived at hospital to sit with my 8 day old for the day in NICU. Just praying with all my heart he gets better. Hes been here since day 2 :(

Good morning all.

I had a couple of hours peace this morning just enjoying my cups of tea on my own. I got up at 7am just as dh left for work and dd9 didn’t get up until 9am.

My plan for today was to be productive and clean my house from top to bottom but a message from a friend has set me off crying (I lost my mum 4 weeks ago and she was just checking in) so not sure I have the motivation to clean any more.

The Tesco shop is due any minute so I need to put that away and I’ve just turned the washer on so that’s enough activity for now.

No idea what the rest of the day will hold but we’re having sausage and mash for tea and maybe a Christmas film tonight to cheer myself up before bed.

Strength to you, @TakeMe2Insanity . I remember how awful having a newborn in NICU was. But babies are tough little beasts. I hope you’re both home soon.

Cold but sunny here this morning, got the towels in the wash hopefully they will dry on the line!

I'm in my usual spot on the couch I've just vaccuned the windows from condensation so I can actually see out of them the joys of a 1800s house!

We are off to the library in a bit, and will look at the Christmas tree in town etc. probably get a sausage roll for lunch etc. then opticians appointment for one of my teens to get some new frames

This evening one teen is off for a sleepover. The rest of us are having an Indian takeaway although the little ones will probably just choose naan and rice 😂

Then TV and wine with DH as always on sat night!

I'm having a long lie in with a fresh hot water bottle. It is -2 degrees!!!!! I'm waiting for DH to come back from the supermarket, and he will make me breakfast in bed. Yes, I could get up and do it myself but he actually wants to, and he wanted to go to the supermarket as well.
I have a couple of Christmas presents to wrap, a wash to sort out and a meal to cook. I will probably make some more Lego flowers from my birthday Lego bouquet, and we will watch some cheesy Christmas films. Not planning on doing anything else!

@Xtraincome a bit of both. They're teens so sleep forever anyway & I usually hop out of bed as soon as I'm awake so I do get some peace - they both still talk an awful lot!

@FayKnights yes, it's been alright thank you! I'm starting to see progress with my little charge, which I'm chuffed about & my colleagues have been really supportive. Did my first full week, this week, and not as tired as I expected either, so I'm counting that as a win 💪

I've been drip feeding decorations about the place for a few weeks now 🤣 they make me happy.

I've just had a little flurry of Vinted sales so will get those posted and a few more bits up, too. The money's going towards train fare to York Christmas Market & I think I've made enough to cover it now 😊

Still in bed. DD at her dads, DH clattering away downstairs in the kitchen. I finally felt well enough this week to get back to riding properly but am paying for it this morning and had a rubbish night not sleeping. DH is out tonight so think I'm going to head to M&S in a bit to pick myself up something nice for tea and look forward to watching Strictly with the kittens and an early night. Hope everyone has a lovely day

Forgot to say, morning! I’m in the kitchen, drinking my second cup of coffee. DP’s sitting on the stairs, reading. DD’s playing in the sitting room, having kicked us out!

I need to have a shower in a minute, then DP and I will head out when DD’s carers arrive. I’m hoping we can go to a local farm shop for brunch and then a stomp through the woods, as it’s a gorgeous cold, clear day (at the moment).

Shopping’s arriving once we’re back, and we’ll cook DD some supper. We’ll probably just have toast ourselves once she’s in bed. Then reading on the sofa with DP until bedtime. Wild times!

DH came in from night shift and brought me tea on his way to bed. I've got up and read, had another tea and I'm about to leave to go to a wreath making workshop with my oldest friend. Then the DC and I are off roller skating after lunch, and then out for an Indian dinner to celebrate my niece's birthday.

I'm the only person awake in my house too. My dc are late sleepers.

Good morning everyone, it’s very frosty and sunny here. Just back from dog walk, really well wrapped up so enjoyed being out early.
I’m about to do a clothes sort out, I need to radically weed out my wardrobes 🥴
No idea what else happening, nothing planned.

Christmas chaos is beginning with us this weekend, between Xmas events and kids birthdays (I have 2, one with their birthday a week before Christmas and the other 2 weeks after) I don’t have a free weekend until the middle on January. Today it’s a trip to the pantomime, I volunteer with the local rainbows unit and we’re going with the local brownies & guide sections. It’s going to be a loud day.

Once we’re home it’ll be a pizza for dinner then maybe a Christmas movie - is it still too early for Die Hard?

Today I might start my Xmas big clean. Washer is already going and I’ve done the windows already. I’m on my 2nd coffee and baby dd had fallen asleep again on my arm so hopefully she’ll have a big sleep as she’s been up and down tonight. Dd8 is in her room on iPad. She was off school yesterday for a training day so I took them to the park for a day out. Dh has my car today as mine has and his doesn’t so I’m housebound.

I do want to put the trees up but I really need to do a big declutter. I’ll make pizza dough soon too so that’s dinner sorted.

Morning! Last weekend I did the big pre clean and this week I have decorated gradually. We also went to see a show and did Christmas shopping so today everyone has voted to sleep! Including the dog, who hasn't come down yet.

I'm drinking tea in silence next to my twinkly lights and it's lovely.

Dog walk if she ever gets out of bed, takeaway tonight. Is tonight the new Dr?

I usually do an exercise class on Saturday, but I hurt my shoulder last week, and it's not fully right yet.
No plans for the morning other than the usual tidy up and a load of washing. The menfolk of the ginger house are of to the football and I'm going for a mooch around our small town. Need a 17 birthday present and some Christmas inspo.
Need to call in with my Mum to do some online admin for her.
Home for chicken fajitas, which is ds favourite. Glass of wine, Strictly and Survivor. Living the Dream 🤣

I was out with the dog at 7am, and what a lovely cold, crisp walk. Saw the sun come up over the Bristol Channel.

Shortly I’m getting on a train with my 2 oldest friends, we’re off to the Birmingham Christmas market, several mulled wines and a night out.

@gingercat02 don't worry, I won't! That's why we're all doing it together this year - usually I'd have done it after work, through the week.**

Just taken DD14 & her girlfriend to Tescos & was shocked to see mixed berries amongst their shopping. Healthy food! The girlfriend has been staying for a few days & will be collected around 1. I need to pop to a local farm shop for a pie for tea. Will have it with double cream mash, carrots & peas. There’s a load of washing to go out as the sun is shining here. General tidying up too. We plan to blitz the whole house before Christmas. I was going to go to a winter fair at a donkey sanctuary this afternoon but it’s a fair drive away & I drove miles yesterday.

Morning, have been up out of bed since 7.30. Have been awake a few hours before just scrolling and working out best way to give my dog her medicine. She was spayed yesterday so plans are looking after today. Mostly staying on the couch and reading a cozy Christmas book and drinking endless cups of tea. Bliss. Anyway got some pain relief down dog with a little bit of egg. Then was going to watch her in the back garden to see if she managed to wee etc but when I put her lead on she wanted to go for a walk. So went on a very short 5 minute amble. The teenagers bedroom is a mess so have issued instructions for her to today it. Going to make a nice lasagne for tea. Enjoy your day

Did a deep clean yesterday and the laundry basket is empty. It is perishing cold here so a long hot bath and a quiet read in front of the log burner later on. Will think about dinner later, could be a takeaway or if DH wants something else then he can cook.

@Midnightstar76 ahh we've just passed the recovery period with ours. She only had one dose of the medicine and it gave her horrific diarrhoea so she did it without. It was a week before she would leave the house, and it took us ten minutes to get to the end of the street. She wouldn't even go down the back step without me lifting her.

Like it never happened now though!

@daffodilandtulip glad she has recovered well. Feeling guilty but I know it is for the best for her.

A friends dog died after it's ovaries being infected, and they said it wouldn't have happened if she had been spayed. So definitely for the best if you're not breeding.

It feels so strange not going out for walks though doesn't it @Midnightstar76
