Why is my money plant not really thriving?

I know it looks ok but it's not growing and the leaves don't look that sturdy to me. It just looks the same it did a year ago.

Looks fine….. the smaller leaves are surely new?
Water once a week and pot on in the spring. But I think it’s fine.

It's the economy..

Should you spray the leaves?

Coldwater12 · 24/11/2023 17:24

But the small leaves have looked like that for about a year! Honestly, it feels like it's stuck

I don't know - that's why I here! For expert advice. Should I? With what?

I use bio feed but it's made no difference. The plant next to it is going crazy with growth.

Does it need a bigger pot?

CesareBorgia · 24/11/2023 17:34

No-one's money plant is thriving at the moment😅

LickleLamb · 24/11/2023 17:41

Is it busy growing roots so not growing up top. You can tip it upside down in your hand and lift off the pot to see how it’s root look.

Cheeseplantalltheway · 24/11/2023 17:42

It needs a bigger pot.

Coldwater12 · 24/11/2023 17:54

Is it a bad time to repot?

I've seen some amazing money plants in other people's houses

I hear it is good if plants touch each other. Perhaps position it nearer the other pot.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 24/11/2023 18:14

Bet the pot is tiny in that basket, compared to the height and spread of the plant.

LookMaggie · 24/11/2023 18:21

Your plant is "surviving" and not "thriving" - is your plant Meghan Markle?!

Theunamedcat · 24/11/2023 18:23

COL crisis

Also it's unhappy in its environment I had to send my plant to Wales apparently its doing better they have a better economy (and softer water)

Is it a bad time to repot?

Yes. Even house plants slow down in the winter months, so wait until late March - early April.

It will only need repotting if the roots look like Spaghetti Junction. Feed it once a month during the winter months, and weekly in the summer (leave it 6 weeks after repotting though, as the new compost will have enough to keep it going).

GirrlCrush · 24/11/2023 18:32

Mine has had babies again!

I agree it needs reporting

Is it getting enough sunlight? Mine are thriving in a sunnier spot than usual

GirrlCrush · 24/11/2023 18:32

*re potting!!
