Somewhere nice / reasonable to eat in Maidstone East

I'm travelling to Maidstone East next week to meet an elderly but young in spirit lady for lunch. We don't know the area - it's a halfway meet.

Recommendations for somewhere reasonably quiet - it's a midweek lunch - upmarket from McDonalds' / chicken places - yet with a varied menu. Near the station helps, but she will have a car.
Thanks.

It’s part of a cabaret/cocktail bar sort of place, but it’s something a bit different and the food is really, really nice (or at least it always used to be, I haven’t been since they re opened after a fire). The cabaret and cocktails are in a different area from the restaurant so you won’t have to listen to Dolly Parton singing in your face while you’re looking at the menu. It’s five minutes from the station and is also known as Mumu’s.

Namaste Nepalese restaurant, within site of Maidstone East. Lovely food, nice staff & they have lunchtime specials.
There's a Turkish place in Earl Street that's great.
I'm told the Italian in Pudding Lane is very nice and so is the Thai in the Royal Star Arcade, all of which are within 5 minutes of the station.

If you don’t mind a 10 minute walk there are lots of restaurants on Earl Street. Seems to be the main restaurant hub in Maidstone town.
