Sitting in cars with toddlers vs teenagers (lighthearted)

Sat in car waiting for teenager, again her train is late. I wonder if I spent more time sitting in cars with them when they fell asleep as toddlers or more time waiting in car for them as teenagers? (Lighthearted) plus we live rurally if that makes a difference.

Ha ha do you keep a book or anything in the car? I found it useful for the baby phase and there's been a few times where I've wished I did the same now!

I reckon I have spent years in my car waiting around on school runs/sleeping babies and pick ups!
I always have a magazine or kindle in the car. Sometimes I even take my knitting!

I have chocolate in the glove box for this very reason! Peace and quiet to play on my phone or read a book or whatever… happy days!

Yes, reading a book. Quite nice quiet time 😊

I don't have children, but I wanted to say how grateful I am to my parents who were lovely about picking me up at bus stops and train stations when I was a teenager!
It was rurally too. Many times I walked or used my bike, but it was greatly appreciated to be picked up by a parent.

I spend 5-6hrs a week hanging around while DD dies clubs (not worth going home) not including the driving time. Quite enjoyable in summer... not quite as much at the moment.

But its worth it
