Does anyone on here use Protopic ointment on their child's face please? How long have you been applying it for please and what are the side effects? Also, any signs of the eczema going away for good? I've googled protopic ointment and it says a few people have had skin cancer and lymphoma, this has really scared me. My dc has been prescribed this.

My dd has it. It's made a massive difference to her face. She was prescribed it by her consultant at the hospital. I haven't read anything about side effects.

She's had it since March and uses it when necessary.

Surely you'd be better to ask your daughter's specialist than google or a forum. A search engine doesn't have clinical judgement nor can it work with you in decision-making.

Thank you all for your replies. @whatausername yes, of course I have asked the consultant, I was just given the very dismissive reply of " well, it's been approved for children". Do you/ your dc use Protopic?

@savoycabbage has it given your dd red blisters/bumps on her skin?

No, it cleared up her skin in a matter of days,
