Where can you buy a gift box from?

I cannot believe I am even asking this. Before its demise, I would have gone to Paperchase but I just don’t know what the equivalent/replacement is. I don’t want to buy online because my spatial awareness is awful and I want to see the physical size.

I don’t want a personalised Christmas Eve crate. I don’t want a “special baby” printed box, or something covered in Marvel characters. I just want a plain gift box. I’m not even fussy about colours!

Does anyone on the high street do them? I feel like I must be missing something.

I normally go to card factory or Clinton's but they are a bit pricier. Some bigger supermarkets might even do them?

WolfFoxHare · 23/11/2023 16:12

Clinton’s? I’ve bought them in various card shops in the past. Or maybe a posher garden centre where they sell lots of gifty things.

There are always loads in TK Maxx/Homesense if you've one near you. Otherwise Clintons, Card factory.

Card factory. Asda. Tesco. Sainsbury's

MarleyandMarleyWoo · 23/11/2023 16:16

I’m sure I saw some in b&m earlier altho they were perhaps just Christmas ones, quite understated but Christmas nonetheless!

Loads of high street shops to try....
Card Factory, Cards Direct, One Beyond, Clinton's, The Works, WHSmith, Poundland, B+M, Home Bargains, Poundstretchers.....

Moonshine86 · 23/11/2023 16:17

Lots of paper chase stuff on Vinted at the moment. Assuming some people purchased them during closing down sale. There are some festive nice bundles: gift box/bags/paper

BarbaraofSeville · 23/11/2023 16:18

WH Smith, Flying Tiger, Hobbycraft?

YourNameGoesHere · 23/11/2023 16:18

Most shops on the high street will sell them including but not limited to card factory, Clinton's, Poundland, tkmaxx, B&M, WHSmith and supermarkets.

BarbaraofSeville · 23/11/2023 16:19

The Range. They seem to sell everything.

QueenOfWeeds · 23/11/2023 16:20

Have tried most of them, but all the ones round us seem to have exclusively Christmas stuff out at the moment. I may have timed this poorly…

There is a bigger card factory in the next town, will try there! Thanks!

It may be worth asking in card factory if they have any plain gift boxes. They may have put them out the back to make way for the Christmas ones.

BarbaraofSeville · 23/11/2023 16:22

Also, if you have any posh chocolate shops near you, they'll have nice boxes in, but they might be too shallow for what you need, but if not, they might let you buy one without buying any chocolates.

Surely even the Christmas ones would be suitable? Just a plain bog standard green/red or striped one would work?

Yes, good idea, but I have genuinely only seen ones with writing on. They are all quite small shops and have irritatingly similar selections in.

@Nochoiceleft good idea to ask for plain ones - hadn’t thought of that! Thanks.
