Housing -Bucks home choice

Hello there xx

Thank you for reading my post, I need a little advice if anyone's in the same position as us.
Me and my family have joined the housing list as we live in a tiny 2 bed but we need to move as our son sleeps in the same room as our daughter and hes turning 11 in December so we need a 3 bed soon really.
We sadly can't afford 1600 a month we scrape the barrow as it is so we had no choice but to go on the list.
We are in Band B which I think is good? I've been bidding but I keep getting ranking over 20 I'm not totally sure what this means does anyone else know?
Was wondering if anyone else is or was on bucks home choice and how long did it take them to get housed even if it isn't bucks how long did it take on Band B?
Our tenancy is up in February not sure whether to extend it.

I know this is a bit of a silly post but I just don't know how it all works xx

Hi, Just seen your post while searching for some answers myself. I am registered with bucks home choice currently in a 2 bedroom property. We have been on the waiting list in band b since October 2020, my daughter is 13, my son nearly 11 and they are shairng a room. My husband also has medical needs for a bigger property. We have just today been offered a 3 bedroom house today and that was also with an occupational therapist report for a 3 bed house. So be prepared for a more than 3 year wait!

@Bazinga2022 hiya sorry to jump on like this just seen your reply. Im in the same boat, they said it takes 3-5years roughly. Currently approaching the 3rd year and its still showing ranking over 20. Did this change for you before you got offered anything? Thank you

Hi there i feel your pain! I have been bidding for 18 months and getting let down. Im in a first floor one bedroom flat with my 4 year old son and 1 year old daughter and my partner!!! My son has right foot talipes and is going into a groin to toe cast next week to help with foot alighnment before a tendon operation. Non weightbearing!!! The car park is not visible from flat and only stairs..no lift...
I am currently band B in my local area. A 2 bed house came up recently local to us and level walk to school.but we were outbid! How did they shortlist 120 applicants in 20 mins of bidding closing to offer elsewhere to someone? Questions? Doesnt seem right?
What can we do? 🙄
