This is something that has bugged me for a while and I've never voiced it before....wondering if anybody feels the same.
I'm not one to photograph my food, I believe this started as an instagram thing? I am not on Instagram but I see a lot of it on my Facebook.
As I say, I don't do it myself, but don't mind a picture of a nicely presented dinner or whatever.
BUT! Why do people eat half of it, and then post a photo of the plate half eaten, with food smeared all over the plate and cutlery?
It makes me heave
Even when the food looks reasonably intact, but the cutlery is there, in the middle of it. I quite often place a finger over my screen to cover the cutlery and 10 out of 10 times it looks instantly better. Looks fine.
I'm not usually a particularly precious / squirmy person, but for some reason I hate this. I know you have just been shovelling in your mouth, I don't need to see evidence of that. Just the food on its own would suffice.
Prepared to be told I'm being unreasonable / a nutter / it's a me problem, but would be interested to hear if anybody at all feels similar
