Had tooth out today ... and I've eaten toast

Not sure it was a good idea Confused.
Dentist only said to avoid smoking an alcohol for a few days and the sheet they gave me just said to do a salt water mouth wash 3 times a day after 24 hours. Didn't mention food.

Anyway was really hungry after 3 1/2 hours. Ate piece of toast. Chewed it loads so soft and only on the other side but some of it ended up in the socket. Had a glass of room temp water and I think that cleared most of it.

I've never had a tooth removed before as an adult and it's only now that I've been Googling that it looks like the toast was a bad idea. Is there anything retrospective I can do about that now. I don't want to do anything that dislodges the clot.

Anyone else had a tooth removed recently ? It's a bottom molar. I was so relieved to be getting it out that I didn't put enough thought into it.

Don't worry to much OP. I did exactly the same last year. Was so bloody hungry and devoured some toast too. It got stuck in the clot and I then spent 2 hrs trying to get it out....bad idea!
As long as you've swilled and got most of it out it's fine. Try not to fiddle and poke with your tongue. I did that and the clot came out. Say no more about that!
Just be a bit careful for a few days. Warm soup, not hot. Scrambled eggs etc.
Molar holes do take some time to heal over but they heal from the bottom up. If after a few days the clot comes out and you have no pain don't worry to much
