years ago iirc, the ritz did an amazing over the top breakfast buffet. Seems all to be order from menu now. Looking for that kind of over the top vibe.

Duck & Waffle?

Had my birthday at Darcie & May Green in Paddington - it's a boat on the canal and very nice. Not fancy but fun venue. I don't know if you'll have any luck anywhere for Xmas at this notice, especially posh spots.

I considered Caravan in Kings Cross, but they only took bookings for groups of 6+, otherwise walk-in. Again, not fancy, but good food.

I love Sunday In Brooklyn on Westbourne Grove but maybe you want glitzier?

The Nomad is a good shout or are you looking for more of a fancy buffet than just brunch?

The Wolseley in Mayfair is good for breakfast - they've also just opened in the City.

The Ned does a champagne brunch I believe

34 Mayfair do a wonderful brunch and they've covered the ceiling in Christmas decorations! Very fancy, fun and instagrammable!

If everywhere else is booked up, I can thoroughly recommend a Cote Brasserie brunch. 8 of us had a really good one at the Festival Hall CB. Not crazy expensive, either.

Duck and Waffle is worth is for the view and the lift IMO.
