I have just had a clear out of DS' toys, donated what he no longer uses as he's just had a birthday and Christmas coming up.
We have a toy box in the living room and one in his bedroom and there's still a load that don't fit in. I think it's mainly because many of them are so bulky.
The "toy boxes" we use are actually ottomans and the same size as this:
