WTF is this weird object?

I'm doing some long-overdue decluttering, found this and am loath to chuck it in case it's important. It's a part of or tool for something, but what??

Does anyone have anything similar and can shed some light on the matter?

N.B. It was absolutely not created for insertion into any human orifice. I know what you lot are like.

Massage gun head.

maximist · 21/11/2023 12:36

Could it be an end for a curtain pole?

I don’t know OP but future archaeologists will declare it probably had ritualistic significance.

Whatdoyouwantforxmas · 21/11/2023 12:37

I was also going to say massage head

PuttingDownRoots · 21/11/2023 12:44

Looks like a finial to me. Is it metal?

Positivelypatient · 21/11/2023 12:53

A quick google lens bought this up for me.

Its for a cosmetology mannequin selling on ebay

McConkeysPlate · 21/11/2023 12:56

Hairdressing head? That fits in a G clamp

ArsMamatoria · 21/11/2023 12:57

Sorry - I should have said that it's made of pretty dense plastic.

We don't have a massage gun or a curtain pole that looks anything like that.

Google lens?! What is this magic?! (yes, I have pretty much been living under a rock).

I have also found - in a different box - that clamp thing.

OK, so they belong together...

Something that rotates and moves when clamped to a table, op said mannequin head. Sounds about right? Anything like that? Model making etc?

Hanlonsamazer · 21/11/2023 13:02

Ah. Cross post.

Londontown12 · 21/11/2023 13:03

Yep it’s a stand for a hairdressing block head

Positivelypatient · 21/11/2023 13:09

@ArsMamatoria Google Lens is a lifesaver! its an app for your phone and you can take a photo or select a photo from your gallery (or screenshot as I did for the mystery object) and google lens will find matches from the internet.

Wetblanket78 · 21/11/2023 14:24

Google lens you can put a picture into Google and it does a search for possibilities of what it could be.
