Asking for a friend who is from another culture and had an arranged marriage to a man from the UK when she was 17.

Horrible abusive marriage.
Had child taken from her whilst she was in her home country by her husband and mil.
Her bil beat her up when she held her 3 month baby in her arms and baby fell.
She mentioned husband strangled her once when he was having an episode.
He beat her throughout the marriage.
He sent her to her home country last year without anything and once she was there he divorced her over the phone. Before that he requested her passport and she didn't send it luckily.

I helped her get back here and she was in a refuge and now she's in her own flat. Ex husband was claiming benefits in her name. She wasn't allowed to get anything from her hosie as he didn't open the door. She hasn't seen her children since last December. What can she do?

She's suffering from terrible depression and anxiety. She has a phobia of going outside. She was used as a slave and abandoned by her husband and his family. I just can't sleep thinking what's she been through. She wants to see her kids. What can she do?

If she is in the uk she can make a private law application for contact. She will get legal aid as a victim of domestic abuse.
