london with toddler

Left London during Covid- will be back tomorrow for the day with a very active toddler.

  1. Need ideas for lunch near Oxford street/TCR- unfortunately have to do a work thing with said toddler in tow in the morning 🥲 any cuisine, just a family friendly environment where I can walk around in circles for an hour and this will be fine

  2. an activity for after this family friendly lunch. Ex Londoner so very unbothered about hopping on a tube to go to a great zone 4 soft play, as long as it’s well connected. Doesn’t need to be central stuff and tbh want to avoid all the big attractions and busy areas. She likes running round and knocking shit over

we will be returning back to our hotel for a swim and bedtime about 5ish, so activity needs to be between 1-4:30ish

Mudlarks gallery at the Docklands Museum? Has a mini softplay and various play areas.

Ahoy Gallery at the Maritime museum in Greenwich is similar, and there's a brand new playground next to the museum too, as well as the already great Greenwich Park playground nearby.

Trampolining and bouncy castle-ing at Flip Out (eg. Brent Cross)?

Mudlarks is great but you probably won't get a ticket now.

The Postal Museum is good for I'd say 2.5 upwards if you can get a slot at Sorted for after your ride on the Mail Rail. Won't be busy.

The Discover Story Centre at Stratford is really good and they can run riot. 5 min walk from Stratford.

Kidzmania in Clapton is good. Short walk from the Overground.

And Franco Manca at TCR is very child friendly and do a good kids meal deal.

There’s always Gambado at Imperial Wharf.

MeatLiquor wouldn’t be phased by a child. Or you could do Pizza Pilgrims and then laps of Carnaby.

Thanks all - got a mudlarks ticket at a convenient time!!

Hope she enjoys it! There's a nice cafe in there too.
