How do I hang this on the wall? (Photo incl)

Thanks to anyone who replies. I have this object I want to hang on my wall. No instructions included. Do I pull the black thing out / off?

How much gap is there between the black hole, and the plaster behind?

I'd put a screw into the wall, leave it protruding a bit, then snag the hole in the back bit over the screw head.

Thanks for replying FallingAutumnLeaf. I get what you're saying about a nail. It's making me nervous though 😄 The hole is pretty flush to the object.

This is the smallest picture hook I have, which is too big for the hole!

How heavy is it? A panel pin would work if it's less than a kg

Can you loop some picture wire through the hole then hang the wire on a hook?

Or could you use one of those clear sticky hooks

If you want to use the picture hook, a loop of wire through the hole in the black, and a loop for the picture hook - so a figure of 8.
