Freestanding Fridge Freezer (Small-ish)

Hi guys

I’m back needing your help again. I’m looking for a fridge freezer that is ideal for a small kitchen. My old one was a Liebherr which has become accidently damaged by someone (we won’t go there!!) and has stopped working

Ideally I’d like to spend between £300-£500, the cheaper the better really. I’d like it quiet, reliable, energy saving and not too tall ... too much? It has to be freestanding (due to social housing) and fit into a specific space. My last one was a 60/40 split and 132cm high which it seems is really diddy these days – but it can be taller. The smaller ones I’m looking at are brands that I’m not sure of and some reviews are shocking!! Will be looking at current Mumsnet recommended brands like Beko, Bosch, Samsung, Siemens and Zanussi

I’m fine with a 50/50 split and am Marpling at the moment (pulling all my research together) but all and recommendations will be gratefully received 😛

This was the old one. Served me well but now has bitten the dust 😥

Watching with interest
Though Bosch will probably be my prefare choice when the time comes.

Forgot to say I don't need all the bells and whistles, ice maker, water cooler etc and am OK if its not frost free phew I think that's it

@TammyJones Hopefully we'll get some good recommendations

No sure as few Beko's (different models) seem to have caught fire last year 😱 Am still deciding but last resort is to pay out for another liebherr

We've just bought a fridge freezer and tbh, they all seem to be much of a muchness. They all keep food cold, and I don't really think there's a lot more to it. It's probably best to get the best energy rating in your budget and a colour you like, but otherwise, it's not like washing machines or dishwashers where cycle length and performance is a concern.

I realised I wanted to see it in the flesh, so we went and looked at Currys, but none of the three we picked were in stock, so we got it online from Sonic Direct, who were pretty decent, turned up on time, best price etc.

@BarbaraofSeville Thanks for the reply. Hearing from friends and also reading about some brands where the compressor has failed after a few weeks/months is what has made me look into this further. I’m gonna just order and hope for the best
