Panicking about blood clots

I’ve been up since 4 am panicking that I have a blood clot. I’ve just dropped my DH to work and now the panic is setting in. My LO is in bed. I’m back in bed to try and get another hour or so but I can’t settle because I’ve got a weird pain in my leg, just achey and sore in my calf. No redness or swelling yet. I’m terrified I have a blood clot and if I go to sleep I won’t wake up because it will spread. It probably isn’t if it’s not red or swollen though right?

I find reading trusted health sources is helpful if I'm not sure.

Are you at high risk of clots, or do you have family history? These things can raise anxiety about specific health issues.

But with all health things, no one can diagnose over the internet.

No I don’t have a history of those things. I’ve read up about it already and o only have pain. No other symptoms. I do have anxiety quite severely though and I’ve worked myself up into a state.

I would ring your GP surgery or 111 straight away. A possible blood clot is treated as an emergency and you will be advised what to do.

I’m not saying you have a blood clot but fwiw, this is how my 2 recent clots presented. An unusual pain in one leg, no swelling, no redness.

Please don’t worry about making a fuss unnecessarily, just get medical advice ASAP.
