Shes told dh that she doesn't bother with her grandkids as she knows they're getting looked after well by their parents.
Erm..you should want to see grandkids because you love them surely?

Sounds like a cop out excuse but as is evident from many many threads on here, not every grandparent wants to spend time with their grandchildren.
