DH has booked a last-minute break In Bournemouth. It's not somewhere I've been before, but love being by the seaside, so am looking forward to it! I love good food, too, so would be very grateful for recommendations for the best places to eat - breakfast, lunch and dinner all grateful love received 😋

Breakfast on the pier is lovely (although last time we went was 2 summers ago)

That looks nice - thanks. Love the idea of breakfast on the pier. Crossing everything for not-terrible weather 😁

If you want fancy there’s Roots or maybe the Nici hotel (not been there though)

Those look great - thank you!

Does anyone have any good pub recommendations?

This has its own microbrewery

For the best fish and chips, with unlimited chip re-fills, head to Chez Fred in Westbourne (which is sort of part of Bournemouth but just along the coast). Take some entertainment as you will be queuing however, it's INCREDIBLY popular.

Those both look
Fab - thanks!

bettynutkins · 20/11/2023 18:58

Also Chez Fred for a really good fish and chips

TheFutureIs · 20/11/2023 19:00

Natty's Jerk @ Tonic Social does the best Jamaican food

wobytide · 20/11/2023 19:01

Moose Kitchen closed the other week

Ojo Rojo is a very good quirky Mexican, not far from Lola's

Another vote for Lola's Tapas - their aubergine with honey is the only vegetable that our children fight us for. The Fish Party & the sangria are also amazing. I'd advise booking as it's not a big place.

Lulu1919 · 20/11/2023 19:05

1805 for Chinese

Oh no, that's such a shame!

This place is lovely and suitable for meat eaters as the food is so good

Roots, or Renoufs if you like cheese, charcuterie and wine. Or the Black Cherry in Boscombe although that’s a rather unsavoury area…

RumNotRun · 20/11/2023 19:39

I love Urban Reef and the Wood Oven (for pizza) which are on the beachfront. The cocktails are fantastic as is the food, or at least it was the last time I was there.

Thunderpunt · 20/11/2023 19:43

Lola's for tapas
And The Crab for amazing fish/seafood

DisneyDisneyDisney · 20/11/2023 19:58

Unfortunately last time we went to twelve eatery we had strands of hair (3) in our meal which they apologised for but it spoilt it for us.

Pezdeoro41 · 20/11/2023 20:03

Neo, near the pier, is really nice. Southbourne and Christchurch both have lots of good little eateries if you end up that way.

Wildernesstips · 20/11/2023 20:48

I like Neo, and also really rated Zim Braai.
