Fabric dye

Pennies are a bit tight at the moment. I saw someone giving away two kids hoody blankets and I got them for my two DC. Both blankets are a pale pink and my son would love a blue one. He’s been so grateful for it and loves wearing it. Such a sweetie.
I was thinking of dying his blue. What’s the cheapest effective way to do this? I’ve never dyed an item of clothing before!

Unfortunately you won't be able to dye something that's pink to blue, it will end up purple. You could go red, would he like that?

Dylan machine dye is a good one to try

It’s a very very pale pink. Almost off white colour. Do you think it will work? X

I second Dylon machine dye. Go for a dark blue and it should work. I dyed darkish grey curtains green with one.

If the blankets are fleece the regular dye won’t take. Make sure you buy dye that is for synthetic fibres. Dylon is very reliable.
