2 whoosh orders cancelled after an hour waiting twice.

I'm really sick and just wanted fosme fruit, fruit loaf and yogurts etc for my kids cause I've got fuck all in.

They told me to reorder and I'd get the 2nd one!!

11.15am I ordered. Now it's 2pm and they've cancelled again.

I'm just so fucking annoyed. If they can't fulfill orders why accept them??

Your better with Amazon fresh they’ve never cancelled but think the minimum is £60.00.

It says delivery tomorrow.

I just wanted some lunch for the kids

I can't do anything right. I'm a total fuck up

OP posts:
LakeTiticaca · 19/11/2023 14:03

Probably have nobody to deliver the order

GotBeef · 19/11/2023 14:08

Then they shouldn't be accepting orders!

MintGreenPolo · 19/11/2023 14:10

I would never order from Tesco whoosh. What about Uber eats coop is always reliable

plumtreebroke · 19/11/2023 14:14

We did click and collect the other day, only one guy on and he was meant to be out in a van, he said he should have been relieved hours earlier, but nobody to take over. It's been like that the last few weeks the regular guys have been poached for other duties, driving vans or helping picking orders. Maybe a lot off sick with all these bugs going around.

saveforthat · 19/11/2023 14:14

I've never tried whoosh but I've had a standard Tesco delivery not delivered on the day 3 times now. It's really frustrating when you are relying on it for dinner e.g. Maybe they have a staff shortage. I know Waitrose pay their delivery drivers much more.

WinterWaffle · 19/11/2023 14:16

Yeah try Uber eats if you have it in your area, they deliver from the local supermarket.

You’re not a total fuck up - they are!!

MidnightOnceMore · 19/11/2023 14:21

This is not a criticism but a genuine question - do you not live near any shops? I'm so grateful to have a local shop.

I can't understand why conspiracy theorists oppose the idea of 15 minute cities!

WinterWaffle · 19/11/2023 14:24

OP is sick, so I suppose doesn’t feel like traipsing out to the shops with the kids in tow.

I'm not well. I can barely walk to the toilet without feeling dizzy

GotBeef · 19/11/2023 14:29

I don't have a car and nearest shop is 25 mins walk away

I don’t care who delivers it’s not on the Uber eats app. If I wanted a grocery delivery I would use Asda, Iceland, Sainsbury’s (all deliver same day) if I wanted to use an Uber shop I would use the direct site is all I meant, that Way you are dealing with them direct and get tracking etc

I live in a city and the nearest shop is 25 min walk, so over an hour out of my day to pick up a few extras.

15 mins cities would be fabulous if built from scratch. Trying to implement them on medieval towns without completely redeveloping the infrastructure (i.e. no cycle paths) isn't going to work.

You have to order in the morning for same day where I am.

I live in a large village and have an Aldi and Lidl 5 and 10 minutes walk away. What city do you live in?

No you’re not. It’s hardly your fault you’re ill and Tesco whoosh are shit (though I’ve always found it to be great and you should absolutely complain)

sadeyedladyofthelowlandsea · 19/11/2023 15:32

It really varies, but deliveroo have always been pretty reliable where I am. Whoosh & Uber tend to have really crappy delivery people IME.

Sorry you're feeling so rubbish OP, I'm pretty much housebound at the moment and it really makes you feel worse when things like this happen Flowers

Beckafett · 19/11/2023 15:34

It's not you it's them. Happens to my partner all the times in the area he lives or they turn up with 20% of it and then stuck with the fees without what he really wanted.

RosesAndHellebores · 19/11/2023 15:41

I had 3 out of 5 click and collect deliveries not turn up. An hour waiting at the garage, an hour on the phone to sort nipping to the Sainsbury's local fkr that night's dinner and then spending another 80 minutes physically shopping the following day. I have now given up with deliveries.

What is scandalous is the fact that they take the full.amount from your bank account on the supposed delivery day (Friday) and do not refund until the following Thursday. There is no safety net for those who might not have other funds for food shopping. At the very least in those circumstances they should allow compromised families to shop to the value of the order.

BigMadAndy · 19/11/2023 15:42

Uber eats, just eat and deliveroo do grocery orders. It's a little more expensive but definitely have a look.

Hope you feel better soon

TeenLifeMum · 19/11/2023 15:48

I’ve got an Asda delivery tonight and there’s 9 substitutes that’ll all go back. Means I now need to go to a shop! I swear it’s got worse recently.

It'd be tricky for sure but the conspiracy theories about it are Confused

I feel so lucky to live somewhere convenient (which is also in an old place, not built this way).
