What should DH wear for an interview?

He’s 56, being made redundant from the company he joined as an apprentice at the age of 16, so no interview experience at all since then, and no idea what interviewees normally wear these days. It’s for a middle-management role. Should he wear suit and tie?

I would think so, always better to be dressed formally rather than casually unless it is a very casual industry.

Wishing your DH good luck, my own DH found a new job just before his 60th birthday - it worked out really well.

@Ragwort thank you. Hoping in the long run this will be a positive thing for him as he’s been so stressed in current job for years. Congrats to your DH.

Yes to suit and tie and if you can find a life coach who can give him a practice interview. Maybe you have a friend in a suitable role who could do this?
