Yes!

HeathrowQuestion · 19/11/2023 12:54

Did you get them?? I had no luck but friend did thankfully.

AlinaSquareQueen · 19/11/2023 13:45

No luck here. There were 5 of us trying get two tickets for my DD and her partner.

IMO, I think the maximum tickets should be 4 per transaction, not 6, because the bigger groups obviously have more chance of getting tickets as you can exponentially enlist more people to help.

Either way, I’m not sure if it’s worth trying in future.

I just think they shouldn’t have delayed it by two weeks and they shouldn’t keep putting it on the news. It gets harder every year

I think they should do the same as Lords cricket and have a ballot. Give people a couple of weeks to apply and then advise by a set date.

Agree about the maximum number being reduced to four per applicant.

HeathrowQuestion · 19/11/2023 14:37

Ballot definitely seems fairer all round. If you live in the sticks with s**t internet you've presumably got little chance.

DustyOwl · 19/11/2023 15:37

Somehow a couple of my friends got them using 4g. No idea how. My brother gets them every year from London. We’ve tried for 3 years, not a sniff. This year he bought them for us. Feel very lucky but definitely think it’s time for a ballot.

casuarinatree · 19/11/2023 15:38

I never understand how the same people seem to get them every year? I do think a ballot would be fairer though.

We actually went a couple of years ago so not too sad we didn't get them again, but wondering when we might actually ever get to go again!

EachandEveryone · 19/11/2023 18:17

For some reason we usually manage in the resale. I dont know about a ballot I think you'd get people entering for the sake of it and it could be years before you get to go. I think they should stop using seetickets and try a method like ticket master where you can see yourself in the queue. The resale is always four. Its on tv too much. And people have strongly been hinting its Madonna. I cant see it myself. I will be gutted if she does play!

Also couldn’t give a shiny shite about Madonna or Coldplay. Madonna’s voice is like fingernails on a blackboard and she is a terrible example to young girls, plasticised to the hilt. Coldplay, the epitome of dreary MOR with the exception of a couple of big hits that have good melodies. Their lyrics are truly awful. Dua Lipa is also a bit shit yet unaccountably popular.

Bruce Springsteen is a different kettle of fish, he would be good on the bill, he is really talented and I love his early stuff.

Anyway, there will be plenty of good stuff, but the mooted headliners are not setting my world on fire.

EachandEveryone · 20/11/2023 00:46

Bruce is already playing Wembley and last time at Glasto he was quite dreary tbf. It wasnt hit after hit. I will be sad not to see Stevie Nicks on a Sunday afternoon. And Pulp. I will try in the resale though.
